For 3 months, I volunteered my time as an event planner to help a small team of people work on a silent auction to raise money for Young Life Capernaum. This local organization builds relationships with high school and college age students who have special needs in my community.
The first annual silent auction for Young Life Capernaum was a HUGE success. The goal was to raise $10,000 and it exceeded it's goal by raising $17,000! There were a variety of packages and trips and items for people to find interest in. While people were bidding and mingling, there was also a steel drummer playing and wine and appetizers being served.
Thank you to all those who donated items and those who came to the silent auction held at the Rancho San Marcos Golf Course in May. Your support is greatly appreciated for this wonderful cause!
